Vape and Scanners presents a technique of the self as a mechanized concept; as desiring machine, media category; as office apparatus, as document.⁠

Testing the phenomenology of the image, I fold into the scanner. Decapitated by light, re-membering in representation as a spectral haunting. Re-forming as corporeal pixel, copy, noise. ⁠

Combining old and new media, Isabella Maria Fosters visual practice infiltrates systems of replication and auto-exploitation to explore contemporary subjectivity. This materializes across ink drawings, experimental photography, neon light, performance, and video.⁠
